Detoxification Process – What to Eat and What Not to Eat While Detoxifying

Most of the detox programs do not allow the person to eat on a regular fashion. A certain amount of strictness is to be observed while on the detox diet so that the person undergoing the entire diet will receive a positive outcome by the end of it. But after the detox process too one should gradually introduce the intake of food rather than going on a binge. If they start consuming in the regular manner the results obtained through the entire detox process will not stay for long. Ideally, one should restrain from eating the junk foods before or after the detox program as it does not do any good to the body.

Eating natural fruits and vegetables as a part of everyday diet will definitely help in keeping the harmony in the body and to a certain extent they will ward of cancers, cardiovascular diseases and other kinds of degenerative diseases. One has to just think of ways of how they can best make their breakfast, lunch and dinner rich in vitamins and nutrients. Just think…a sprinkle of strawberries on the cereal bowl everyday in the morning, some tomato and lettuce in every day salad or for that matter just tomato or carrot juice? The choice is vast. All one has to do is explore the various combinations and then enjoy the benefits that it ensues.

There is absolutely no one who does not love coffee but while on the detox program they are expected to stay away from the same so that the detox program is a sure success and the positive effects are clearly visible. Because of these restrictions people while on the detox program are bound to experience side effects like headaches and dizziness. This is natural because the body is undergoing a few changes that are new to it.

Detoxification gives better results when it is done in combination with other methods too. One such example is the foot detox bath where all the toxins that are present in the body come out through the pores that are present in the feet into the water that is charged.

But ultimately, it is what we eat and drink that matters most during and after the detox process. For the entire program to be successful, one should say a strict no to unhealthy foods.

Medical Billing In Brief

The billing is an important procedure for a business that helps to know about the direction of a company’s movement. You can calculate your company’s profits and losses with the help of bills only. A bill is just a piece of paper but the information it keeps carries a great value for any company. When we talk about the billing processes in medical industries, it is a totally different subject. As we know that the medical billing in the US is monitored under different government policies. It is totally different to the regular billing procedures.

In earlier days, medical billing was similar to other billing processes. Patients used to go to a doctor and after getting the treatment they used to pay the bills but with the application of strict medical insurance rules, it is a rare event. The doctors are supposed to create the bill for the treatment provided and submit it to the medical insurance provider. However, it was a trouble for the medical service providers. A doctor was supposed to take the paper bill to the insurance companies and receive the claims later. But gone are those days and a doctor doesn’t need to go anywhere to get the claims. With the help of online billing, the medical billing processes become so easy to handle. Electronic medical billing or the online billing is a paperless method of billing for medical services. In this method, the bill is printed with the help of computer after mentioning all treatment methods used and is given to the patients. The same bill is transferred to the insurance companies through e-mails. This bill contains the information regarding treatment charges, patient’s data and other expenses incurred during the treatment. The mentioned data helps the insurance companies to compute the claim.

The online billing is an efficient manner for improving the business profits. It helps to reduce the wastage of time. The time you save from the billing processes can be used for providing quality medical services to patients. The importance of time in the medical field is very crucial. If you are a doctor and run your own clinic then you can understand the importance of time. Online billing also helps you to reduce the complexities of your work. For a medical officer, it is complicated to handle the accounts but the electronic billing can help to solve any type of complication in billing.

If you want to switch your traditional billing methods to the latest online technique then you can search for the best service providers on the internet. With the help of the internet, you can choose the best service provider as there are reviews and ratings that you can read for making your choice more accurate. You can check for the medical billing services by a company.

Fun Learning Apps for Children With Autism

Neuro-typical children who grow up naturally with no impediments to their learning and intellectual abilities, are social and can communicate their demands to others. But children with autism spectrum disorder are usually withdrawn in their own world and often display behaviors that are not acceptable to others. They have trouble to effectively communicate with others, especially in a social situation. In fact, it’s often a very common problem for children to not communicate at all. In such situations, fun learning apps for children with autism like “Make Sentences” and “Just Match” can be of immense help.

Emerging practice and research have revealed that use of tech-based support can prove effective to target the major challenges for people with autism. These include socialization, motivation, and communication. Both these apps have won accolades from special education groups.

The Faucet Handle is Hard to Turn – Repairing a Single Handle Faucet

It often happens to me as a plumber. After I repair a faucet and the homeowner turns the faucet lever for the first time they are amazed. “The faucet turns so easily!” they exclaim. What is amazing to them is not that the faucet works so easily after repairing, but that they had never noticed that it was not working well until it either leaked terribly, or was impossible to move the handle.

Think about it. You walk into the kitchen or bathroom and, as you have done thousands of times before, you reach for the handle of the faucet and turn on the water. Notice anything? Probably not. The water flows; you turn it off and go on your way. Because you use the faucet everyday, what you don’t notice is that gradually the internal parts of the faucet gain a buildup of minerals from the water, and the parts wear. This causes the internal parts to resist movement and thus, the handle is increasingly difficult to move. Think of it as arthritis in the faucet joints.

The good news is that you can save a lot of money by repairing the faucet yourself. Now, don’t let plumbing scare you. With a few common tools and some guidance, even the novice can accomplish the task and become a hero to your spouse or friend. Following, I have listed a few simple steps to help you repair a single lever faucet. I am only detailing the repair of a single lever faucet in this article because the steps for repairing this faucet are unique and I don’t have the space here to explain a multi lever faucet.

Please read the entire article before beginning the repair process. Once you begin the actual repair, you can then refer back to the individual steps to refresh your memory.

Single lever faucet repairing steps:

1) First of all, determine the brand and type of faucet you are repairing; if you can actually locate a brand imprint on the faucet that helps immensely. There are over 100 different brands and makes of faucets, and most of them take different parts. If you can’t find a name on the faucet, a great help is a digital camera. Take a picture of the faucet and show the picture to the plumbing supply store clerk. Odds are, when an experienced clerk sees the picture, he or she will know immediately what brand it is.

2) Once you know the faucet brand, or have a photo, you can purchase the necessary repair parts. You can either go to the big box type stores or a local hardware; they each have their own particular strong points. Describe the symptoms of the sick faucet to the clerk. Is the handle difficult to move? Does the faucet leak water around the base of the spout? (Kitchen faucets are notorious for this.) The clerk should know which parts to give you and may save you from having to make multiple trips to the store because you have the wrong parts. If you are repairing a Moen brand faucet, it is a good idea to purchase a “puller” tool to remove the old cartridge. There are differing types of cartridge removal tools; an inexpensive plastic design is available or more expensive heavy duty metal ones. For the homeowner, the cheaper plastic one should work just fine. You can accomplish the faucet repair without one, but using the removal tool makes life a LOT easier. (When making repairs, the lowest priority for me is saving a few cents on parts. I would much rather frequent a store or supplier that stocks a wide variety of quality parts and employs knowledgeable and helpful staff.)

3) TURN OFF THE WATER TO THE FAUCET. Did I emphasis this enough? Before you disassemble the faucet, turn off the water supply. Usually, there are small chrome or brown valves inside the sink cabinet toward the back. If you are like every other American I have ever worked for, the sink cabinet will be packed full and those valves will be buried under every kind of cleaning and shampoo bottle imaginable. Toss in a hair dryer, makeup, spare soap and toothpaste and…well, you get the idea. Dig through the debris and locate the valves. If the valves won’t turn easily, you may have to find the main water shut-off valve for the house and turn off the water there. If you need help in finding the main water valve, check out the article on how to do this at my website.

4) Once the water is off, close the drain stopper on the sink. This little trick was taught me by another plumber over 30 years ago. The reason for this? Most likely, while disassembling the faucet, you are going to drop a small screw or gasket and the closed stopper prevents the small part from disappearing down the drain. Brilliant. Before disassembling the faucet, if you want or need a detailed, illustrated breakdown of your particular faucet and its parts, these illustrations can usually be found on the manufacturer’s websites.

5) Remove the handle. There is often a removable plastic lid which covers the handle screw. Pry off the lid and remove the screw. Some handles are attached by a set screw on the side of the handle instead of the top. Look the handle over, with a little investigating, it should be obvious.

6) Once the handle is removed you will see some type of device which secures the replaceable parts in place. Sometimes this is a horseshoe shaped metal clip that slides out. Other times it is a type of round threaded cap that unscrews. Remove the retaining clip or cap.

(Some brands of faucets have a surrounding sheath that encircles the horseshoe clip. This tube needs to be removed first, and then the horseshoe shaped ring can be slid out. To remove the sheath either it is designed to unscrew or to be pulled off by grasping with pliers and pulling toward you. After the sheath is removed grasp the tab of the horseshoe clip with pliers and carefully slid it out by pulling it to the side. These parts should remove easily.)

7) Now, you should see a plastic or brass cartridge that can be removed by pulling it out. If this is a Moen faucet, this is when you use the removal tool. Follow the directions found on the tool packaging. Be careful not to damage the faucet body itself during this process. Some faucet brands contain a plastic or brass ball here instead of a cartridge. Lift or pull this part out. Under the round ball you should see two small rubber seats and springs. Remove them. (In this step, all parts removed should match the new parts which you picked up at the store.)

8) Once the old parts or cartridge are removed, it is a good idea to use a flashlight and peer inside the faucet where the old part used to live. See any pieces of debris or broken pieces of the old cartridge in there? If so, use needle nose pliers to remove it.

9) You can now install the new parts and work your way backwards through the steps as you reassemble the faucet, remembering to replace all retaining clips and rings. If you have any parts left over, take the faucet back apart and figure out where they go before turning the water on. Take your time and you should be just fine

10) This is the most important step. After the faucet is reassembled, the water is back on and you have tested it to make sure it works well, show off your work to your spouse or friends. Watch their reactions as they marvel at how well the faucet works. Now, YOU are the hero, not the plumber you would have had to pay to make the repair.

The author maintains no liability for work performed by readers of his articles. The plumbing repair articles are meant to be a helpful general guide for the homeowner.

Starting Your Own Hat Wear Line – 7 Things To Know

In the 10 years I have been in the custom apparel and hat wear business, I can not remember how many people called asking for help in starting their hat wear line. All of them believed they had a great idea. Most of them had little or no money. And none of them had a clue what it takes to make it in one of the most competitive businesses in America. The first question these people asked was always “How much to make my own custom design hats?” And always, I told them, as gently as I could, there is a whole lot of other questions they should ask first, and cost is perhaps the last one of them. I have always given these people my honest opinions while trying my best to encourage them. This article sums up all the advice I have given over the years. Subsequent articles will address each of the following steps individually in greater detail.

#1: Know Your Customer

Perhaps THE most important thing to do before starting any business! You should answer the following questions regarding your customers:

1. Who might be your customers?

2. How old are they?

3. How many of them are there?

4. Where do they shop?

5. How often do they shop?

6. How much do they tend to spend when they shop for hats or caps?

7. What is popular among these people right now?

Answers to these questions determine the niche to sell your caps in, what designs are appropriate, how many of your hats can you possible sell, and at what price.

#2: Know Your Competition

The 2nd most important thing to do before starting any business! You should answer the following questions regarding your competition:

1. Who may be your competition?

2. What types of hats and designs are they offering right now?

3. How much are they charging for these products?

4. Where do they sell their hats?

5. How are they marketing their hats?

Answers to these questions determine what designs you should offer, how much you should be charging, what channel of distribution you should consider, and the possible marketing venues you should consider when launching your own hat wear line.

#3: Know Your Marketing Plan

So what you have the greatest hat design of the decade if you can not get your products out there! Launching a hat wear line is all about marketing. Let me give you a very simple example. I have a customer, a real customer whose name I can not mention. These guys have some pretty cool design ideas. So they teamed up with a poker player, and hired a public relations person who is connected in the entertainment industry. These 2 people generated a lot of interests in their products! Before you know it, couple celebrities were wearing their designs, and the rest is history. So brainstorm, be creative, put your name out there! Who knows? You might be the next ROXY, or Quicksilver, or even NIKE!

#4: Know Your Start-up Cost

So you have figured out who your target customers are, who your competitions are, what hat designs you want to launch, and you have come up with the most creative marketing campaign. Now it is time to answer some cost-related questions:

1. Staffing and office rental

2. Marketing campaign costs

3. Travel expanses

4. Trade show expanses

5. Production relation costs:

(i) How much does it cost for sampling of your designs?

(ii) Who should you go to get prototype designs made?

(iii) Production run costs (largely depends on how many hats you want to produce for your launch. To get any reasonable price point, you need to order at least in the hundreds per design. 25 hats is NOT a wholesale quantity.)

#5: Financing

You have a plan to market your hat wear line; you know how much it will cost you; now you need to know how to finance your venture. Possible sources for money:

1. Your savings

2. Your friends and family

3. Mortgaging your current assets such as your house

4. Finding outside investors (although this might be difficult for starting a hat wear line, but you never know)

5. Borrowing from the bank (SBA loans are available for entrepreneurs in many cases)

#6: Know Your Launch Date

In fashion, timing is everything. Are you launching your hat wear line for the Christmas season? For the back-to-school season? For the 4th of July? Most overseas production takes 72 to up to 90 days via ocean freight. Say you are producing your hats in China. Do you know that the Chinese shut down for up to 15 days during Chinese New Year, which occurs on different dates, although mostly in January and February, depending on the year?

#7: Write Down Your Plan

You have gotten all the pieces of the puzzle; writing them down increases your chances of success. Your plan will keep you focused, and provide you with the big picture as well as the details you need to consider. And if you are trying to secure financing, a business plan is not only crucial, but absolutely necessary!

This is a simplified run-down for the essentials steps you need to take before starting a hat wear line. So be creative with your designs; be thorough with your research; be meticulous with your planning. And good luck! Please make sure to check my other articles regarding specific details on each of the above points. You might also want to check out my web sites for additional information.

Diabetic Foot Ulcers And Essential Oils

Often and unfortunately, ulcers on the feet become a common result of diabetes. Once an open wound is present on the foot, it also becomes prone to complications that may rise from infection.

Prevention of infection may be achieved through the use of anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral essential oils like Tea Tree oil. Tea Tree oil is also a commonly recommended essential oil that has historically assisted with the recovery of foot ulcers for several reasons.

First, Tea Tree oil has an unusually high concentration of terpinen-4-ol, an alcohol, which constitutes up to 35% of the finest quality Tea Tree oils. Research indicates the Terpinen-4-ol, successfully helps the body achieve normal inflammation levels, as indicated in a November, 2003, Australian study. Inflammation naturally occurs any time the body responds to trauma within the body. Inflammation results in redness, swelling, increased body temperature and pain. Thus, reducing inflammation may result in a reduction of the discomforts associated with the ulcer. Additionally, Tea Tree oil is used on foot ulcers is, because Tea Tree oil contains a unique blend of constituents that cannot be found in this combination anywhere else in nature. In 1978, G. Swords and G. L. K. Hunter authored an article titled: ‘Composition of Australian Tea-Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia)’ in the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry (vol. 26, 1978, pp. 734-9). This article pointed out that Tea Tree contains viridiflorene, present at I %, B- terpineol (0.24%) 1-terpineol (trace amounts) and allyl hexanoate (trace amounts).

Second, Tea Tree oil has been reported to have strong antiseptic properties. An antiseptic is defined as an anti-microbial substance that is applied to living tissue or skin to reduce the possibility of infection, sepsis (defined below), or putrefaction (defined below).

Sepsis is defined as a serious medical issue, resulting from the immune response to a severe infection, where by harmful bacteria enters the bloodstream. Once in the bloodstream the entire body may be under attack. In severe cases organ failure and death may result. According to sepsis.com, “early diagnosis and appropriate treatment can greatly improve survival rates.” Unfortunately, “since November 21, 2001, it is estimated that 4,804,000 people have developed severe sepsis, and 1,377,000 are estimated to have died.”

A completely different issue that many people with foot ulcers sometimes face, is the strong, piercing, foul odor that can be produced by foot ulcers. Putrefaction describes this and is defined as the decomposition of animal proteins, speed up by bacteria that feeds on that protein, allowing flesh to rot or decompose, sometimes resulting in a putrid odor.

A small list of additional essential oils has also been noted to assist with ulcers:

Frankincense (Boswell carteri),

Rose (Rosa dmascena),

Clary Sage (Salvia Sclarea),

Lemon (Citrus limonum) and Bergamot (Citrus bergamia)

Two processes are suggested for the application of essential oils to an open wound. First, you may choose to put one or two drops of the essential oil directly onto a cotton ball or a cotton swab. Then simply dab the ulcer with the cotton ball. Second, you may choose to make a compress. A compress can either be hot or cold. Typically, a cold compress is used in the presence of a fever, acute pain or swelling. You may choose to alternate between a hot and cold compress until you are able to determine which one produces the best results. You may even find that a combination of a hot and cold compress used at alternating times, is the best option.

To make a compress, place 6 drops of essential oil into a small bowl of water. Then soak a piece of absorbent material in the mixture. The material can literally be anything the holds the liquid, such as a towel or washcloth. Do not remove the piece of material until it cannot hold one more drop of the liquid mixture. Then remove the material and twist it until the excess liquid is drained out of the material. This is done simply to prevent excessive spillage. After draining the extra liquid, the cloth may be applied to the open wound. The compress should remain on the wound for at least 2 hours. However, leaving the compress on the wound overnight, may be even more beneficial.

In summary, Tea Tree oil is a noted antiseptic and may work extremely well to reduce the microbial invaders that try to attack the body through the open soar of a foot ulcer. Tea Tree oil may establish a barrier so strong that it is able to keep bacterial and viral invaders out of the blood stream. This anti-microbial function of Tea Tree oil may also be the necessary component that results in a reduction or total elimination of the distracting odor that diabetic foot ulcers sometimes produce. In addition to these benefits, Tea Tree oil is also believed to possess qualities that may be able to assist the body with inflammation created by the body in reaction to the trauma of the ulcer. This benefits the body as the pain and the swelling associated with the inflammation is normalized or reduced.

Choosing Which Windbreaker Fabric Is Best For You

Back in the 90’s, most windbreakers were made of nylon material. These days, however, there are many different types of fabrics to choose from when purchasing a windbreaker or warm up suit. Depending on various factors, picking the right windbreaker fabric can be a very important decision, especially if you are going to have your windbreaker personalized. The different common windbreaker fabric types are nylon, micro polyester, polyester, and tricot.

Nylon is the old classic material which is very water and wind resistant. It also has a harder shell and makes a “swishy” noise when you walk in it. Now, while nylon became popular due to its great water and wind resistance, the noise it creates when people walk in it has drawn many consumers to choose other fabric types that are quieter.

Micro polyester is a softer, quieter fabric. It does not make that “swishy” noise when you walk around in it. It’s a lightweight, soft fabric, and windbreakers that are made out of it generally come with either a cotton or mesh lining. Micro polyester is also does a great job at being wind and water resistant, and is ideal for people that live in hotter geographical areas due to their light weight.

Polyester is similar to micro polyester in that it is a quieter fabric than nylon, but it is slightly heavier in weight. These warm ups also generally come with either a cotton or mesh lining, the cotton lining being the warmer of the two. This fabric is one that could be worn in most all weather types, being that it has a little bit of weight to it, and you can choose between different linings to determine how warm you want them to keep you.

Tricot is a heavyweight, brushed polyester material. It is very soft to the touch and even has a little bit of a shine to it. Being that it is the heaviest of the fabrics, warm ups that are made of tricot generally do not have lining included with them. These windbreakers are not very water resistant and tend to be less wind resistant than the other materials. These windbreakers would be best suited for those in colder climates, given the heavy weight of the material. They are very comfortable though because of their softness.

So, depending on certain factors, one warm up fabric will most likely be more suitable than another. With this information, it should make it much easier to determine which windbreaker fabric is right for you.

How to Shop Wisely

All of us, except for some very few, use money to buy what we need in this world. We do our shopping in various places. Sometimes we are satisfied with what we buy. Sometimes though we do not get our money’s worth and we feel cheated. To avoid being cheated we have to know how to shop wisely.

To shop wisely simply means not wasting our money on useless goods. We have to be careful with what we buy. While we cannot make absolutely sure that what we buy are really worth our money, we can reduce our risks of buying faulty goods to a minimum. Here are some suggestions on how to do it.

It is good practice to check the price of the goods first. Shops are required by law to display price tags for all items. Goods that have no price tags are suspect are ought to be avoided. Also it is better if we compare the prices of the goods at various places. We will probably be shocked by the price differences. The money saved on finding the best deal is usually worth the time spent on it.

Next the expiry date of perishable goods should be checked. Items without expiry dates or items that have expired should not be bought. It is silly to buy a cheap can of tuna at a much reduced price only to discover that the content are inedible when we open it.

The condition of the goods that we intend to buy should be checked. For example, cans should be examined for dents and rust. If the cans show any of these signs then they should not be bought. Often the contents of such cans will be unsatisfactory too. Vegetables and meat should be examined for freshness. Do not be fooled by the attractive packaging. See the item itself and make sure it is worth the money.

When buying something that has to be weighed, it is a good idea to witness the weighing ourselves. Also ensure that the needle reads zero when there is nothing on the balance. It is all too easy to be short weighed.

When paying for things at the counter, it is good practice to make sure that the prices are correctly entered or scanned. Keep the receipt in case you want to return or exchange anything. Count the change after paying for what you buy. There are many unscrupulous traders who short-change customers.

Finally we should only buy what we need. All too often we are taken in by attractive sales gimmick and buy things we never use. This is sheer waste of money. Also perishable goods will perish if kept too long. It is better to buy fresh things than to discard old useless ones. In this way we spend our hard-earned money wisely and not waste it.

Trace Cell Phone Number Site Reviews – How to Find the Best Reverse Phone Directories

Searching through sites trying to find a good way to trace cell phone number, can be a maddening experience. There are hundreds of different sites out there all claiming to have free reverse telephone lookup services. But how many really do offer something free? Truthfully, none of them do if you need to look up a cell phone number. So then, what do you do to find the best reverse lookup sites?

Let me give you a few things to look for:

Free or Paid? – If you’re seeing ads for free sites, you can give them a shot, butt 99 times out of 100, you’ll find that they don’t really have free reverse number lookup for cell phones. It might work on a landline, but cell phones work on a different system and don’t have a central database of numbers. Individual companies work to create their own databases and then offer their services for a price. If you’re looking for a cell phone or an unlisted number, you will need to use a paid service.

Guaranteed? – Make sure the site is guaranteed to work. You should be able to plug in the number to trace and then see if they have a result for that number before you pay. That’s very important. If you have to pay before you try, move on to another site. If they don’t offer a money back guarantee move on as well.

Secure Site? – Look around on the site for a security badge. McAfee Secure is a good example of what you’re looking for. If you see that symbol or something from Verisign you know that the site and the company behind it has been tested and confirmed to be a safe place to do business on the internet.

Full Information? – Make sure that the site has all the info you’re looking for. Some sites might offer only the name or the last name of the person who owns that number. If you need the full address, a map to the location or even more information, make sure the site you’re going to use actually has all that information. Not all of them do.
